2011 trip

Hello all!

A group of use will be coming to your fine country in May 2011 for a eight day trip.
In order to help me plan where to go and what to do, I would like to know if anyone can help me with a few things...

1. Do the series 61 locos still work out of Sofia? Last year we did train 60201 17:40 Sofia - Pernik via Razmenna.

2. What trains actually run between Dimitrovgrad and Plovdiv due to the track work? and which are diesel hauled trains and which ones are Desiros (as we wise to avoid them ) 1672 seems to be hauled on a sunday?

3. Also last year we travelled on R18208 17:40 Plovdiv - Pesthera, is this still hauled by an 07 or is this Desiro now too?

Any help is most welcome...

За да ми помогне да план къде да отида и какво да правя, бих искал да знам дали някой може да ми помогне с няколко неща ...

1. Направете серия 61 мотриси все още работят извън София? Миналата година направихме влак 60201 17:40 София - Перник през Razmenna.

2. Какво влаковете действително се проведе между Димитровград и Пловдив се дължи на следите работата? и които са дизелови влакове, теглени и кои от тях са Desiros (както е разумно да се избегне тях: намигване:) 1672 изглежда да бъде теглено в неделя?

3. Също така миналата година пътувахме на R18208 17:40 Пловдив - Pesthera, това все още теглени от 07 или това е Desiro сега ли?

Всяка помощ е добре дошъл ...

Hello, Dan.

1. Unfortunately 61 do not work out of Sofia already... 60201 and all trains on the line Sofia - Pernik via Razmenna are served by Desiros...

2. On line Plovdiv - Dimitrovgrad actually trains run only between Plovdiv and Parvomai, because of the line reconstruction. All trains are Desiros..... But only 1671/1672, which runs on Sunday, is the only train, hauled by diesel locomotiv class 07.

3. Train 18208/18209 to Peshera is still hauled by 07, enjoy.

As I know trains between Sofia and Pernik through Razmenna still run with 61 loco.You may know but trains there run only on weekends and in Wednesday from May to September.
Between Plovdiv and Dimitrovgrad now doesn't run anything. Some international trains go through the atlernative track Plovdiv Mihaylovo Dimitrovgrad. R 1641 is the only train that runs according to www.bdz.bg but it is hauled by Desiro.
Between Peshtera and Plovdiv sometimes trains are hauled by a locomotive + cars, but right now I think all trains are with Desiro. If some Desiro goes for a repair or has a broken window or sth else, trains could be hauled by Desiro. Lucky you

1. There are no any loco 61 in Sofia already. All trains on the Sofia - Pernik line via Razmenna are served by Desiros since the beginning of December 2010...

2. Trains from Plovdiv to Dimitrovgrad run only between Plovdiv and Parmovai, no matter that is published oh http://bdz.bg timetable. All trans run only to Parmovai and between Parvomai and Dimitrovgrad passenger are being trainsported by buses.

3. On Plovdiv - Peshtera line trains, except for 18208/18209, are with Desiros. Only 18208/18209 is with cars, haulded by loco 07.

Shall I recomand you another train trip across Bulgaria? You should live the small station of Dabovo(near Stara Zagora) to the historical city Veliko Tarnovo. It would be a nice sightseeing and you'ill see the incredibly gorgeos scenery across Stara Planina, and then, of course, one of those strange class 61

Yes, they serve some passanger trains yet!
Trains 50131/50132, 50133/50134 - Dupnica - Kulata is served by 61, all local trains on Dupnica - Bobov dol and General Todorov - Petrich lines. As also sometimes local trains Karlovo - Tulovo and Tulovo - Zimniica are hauled by 61, but there is mainly the king of "Fighters" (locos class 43).
